Stop in our new studio ANYTIME, at the corner of Gill and Glenwood downstairs (basement) from the Teton Barber Shop and the Teton Aquatic Center. This soon-to-be inspired space has broadcast rooms, a kitchen and a community lounge. All it needs are a few well-loved couches and some paint. Most of the equiptment is in the mail and we are looking forward to developing our new home!

BROADCASTING, OH YA!
Author :JHCR - Date 3/10/2008
On Friday, April 4, 2008, JHCR will officially start broadcast operations – aka go on air – at 89.1 KHOL on the FM dial. After building momentum for 12 years, JHCR is flipping the switch. The radio station is grateful to its growing force of volunteers and non-profit collaborators who have made this possible and who understand the significance of non-commercial radio. We are still fundraising in order to make 89.1 KHOL the far-reaching and collaborative outlet that this community deserves. Stay tuned, or give a call 733-4030, to find out how your organization will benefit as the station develops. As always, stop by the studio, see the colorful paint job, check out the new broadcast equipment, talk music, and help us dream up big ideas.

More good news :
Author : Walker White - Date 10/4/2007
The U.S. Department of Commerce has just awarded JHCR a construction grant for $273,000!
This is the fourth-highest grant awarded nationwide to a public radio station this year. It's a 3-to-1 matching grant which means that every dollar JHCR raises will be matched 300% through the Public Telecommunications Facilities Program (PTFP). Now JHCR has to raise $91,000 in local funds to complete this federal grant.
That's right, we're in the midst of our initial capital campaign and your support counts more than ever.
On Air by April 2008:

At the start of 2007, JHCR successfully obtained an FCC construction permit to begin broadcasting in March 2008. In today's congested frequency- application environment, this accomplishment provides Jackson Hole the rare opportunity to establish a community-based radio station. Currently, as of March 13, we actually plan to begin our broadcasting by 6pm, Friday, April 4th. Get ready to set that button on your FM dial, for KHOL, Jackson's newest and only community radio station.
