Race coordinator Andy Lex reported, “(There was) an outstanding turnout for the Hoback river race yesterday. Seven raft teams showed up for the 1^st ever Hoback raft race, most in costumes and they meant business. They started the race first, all put up a great fight and finished neck to neck. Following the rafts the short boat kayakers went, then followed the long race kayaks.”
